Decatur veterinary services – delivered with courtesy and respect!
As a new client of our Animal Hospital in Decatur, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs.
COVID Considerations:
As of January 2022, our hospital is still working in a curbside capacity.
If this is you or your pet’s first visit to our hospital, please ensure you have filled out our New Pet Form prior to your pet’s first appointment. This form is sent directly to our Client Care Team after you click “Submit”.
If your pet has a scheduled boarding reservation, please complete a Boarding Agreement Form for each pet that is coming to stay.
When you arrive for your appointment, please choose one of the numbered parking spaces and call the hospital to check-in. Our team will ask for your parking space as well as a good phone number to reach you at throughout your pet’s appointment. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians or assistants will call you to obtain your pet’s medical history, current condition, and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. Once the technician or assistant has gathered all the necessary information, they will come out to your vehicle to retrieve your pet. We ask that you assist our team member in retrieving your pet from the vehicle in order to avoid the possibility of pets escaping or becoming nervous or fearful in the vehicle, which can sometimes lead to aggressive behavior. With the help of their pet parents, we strive to make the atmosphere as calm as possible for the patient, pet parent, and our staff.
Once our team member brings your pet into the hospital, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet thoroughly and determine the appropriate diagnostic tests. Our veterinarian will then either come out to your vehicle or call you to discuss the recommended diagnostic tests or treatments and present you with a treatment plan. Once the treatment plan is approved and the necessary tests have been run, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and potential new treatment plan if warranted. Occasionally there are diagnostics or treatments recommended that cannot be performed at our facility. When this occurs, our doctors will provide a referral to the recommended facility that can provide these services.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
Our veterinary technician or assistant will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. All payments are due at the time that services are rendered. Our staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow-up exams. We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, and Care Credit. To apply for Care Credit, click on the link below:

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
