Karina was born in North Carolina, but grew up in our small, friendly town of Decatur, AL. At the age of 15, she moved to Mexico, where she continued with her studies and graduated High School in 2013. While living in a different environment and culture, her love and passion for animals grew. Prior to her graduation, she enrolled in a local university to pursue a career in the veterinary medical field while working as a veterinary assistant on a farm and volunteering at the zoo. In 2016, she made a difficult but necessary decision and moved back to the United States.

She spent a short time in Nashville, TN, where she worked at a vet clinic and grooming salon for small animals. Less than a year later, she found herself back in Decatur, AL. In September of 2017, she was presented with a job offer to work at Animal Tracks. Some of her responsibilities include: ensuring all our patients and boarders are fed, walked, and resting comfortably in a clean area. She is essential in providing our boarders with a home-away-from-home. Some of her hobbies include: Jiu jitsu, hiking, listening to music and reading. While she still has much to learn, she enjoys working at ATVH and looks forward to getting to know more of our wonderful clients and patients.
